It all began as a morning prayer and evening prayer time in the Buduburam Refugee Camp on August 14,1992. We started with five persons...as we continued to meet and pray for the will of God concerning our lives and our needs;God moved greatly among us. He did things that made us wondered because the testimonies were amazing and through these testimonies people became a part of our gathering.
Within couple of months the number grew massively from five to fourty-eight people. As we continue to seek Him for direction in prayers He led us to start a fellowship which then ended up into PGMI.
We are refugees which implies that we are not allowed to work in Ghana due to the economic hardship issue Ghana's faced with. Due to this backdrop, PGMI membership does not depend on its refugee congregation for financial support. PGMI has faced a lot of challenges which the Lord has won several battles and given us the victory.
PGMI has a congregation of 1,309 adults and 298 children as its present membership.
The Church runs a feeding program for its membership presenlty, because the UNHCR does not give food rations to the refugees in Buduburam Refugee Camp again due to its operation in the Darfur region of Sudan; but PGMI can only provide food for its membership when there's a financial support for the feeding program.
PGMI would love to solicit aid from organizations churches, ministries and individuals who are being touched by God. |
